Are You Interested In Becoming
A Trained and Certified Workshop Facilitator?
There is more to facilitating a workshop than standing before a group of people and lecturing to them. With the right format and preparation, a workshop is an effective way to communicate a variety of messages to educate and inform participants. Designed correctly, workshops can be powerful because they communicate to targeted audiences on just about any topic.
I have designed and facilitated hundreds of workshops in the secular and Christian arenas. I have provided workshops for local companies and organizations when they had a need to train their employees. I have facilitated workshops for almost all of the local colleges as well as government agencies. After becoming a minister, I have designed and facilitated hundreds of workshops for churches and religious organizations. The beauty of facilitating workshops is that once you have designed a useful workshop, it can be used again and again. I have presented some of the same workshops up to a dozen times. There are some churches and organizations that have invited me back again and again because of my unique style of presenting. Everyone has a unique style, and I am willing to help you discover yours. I am willing to train you to enjoy the pleasures I have enjoyed over the last forty years of facilitating workshops.
With preparation and well thought out content, facilitating a workshop is very easy. Besides, it is a great source of income for those who are serious about sharing.
Do You Have to Become Certified?
No. You do not have to become certified, but it will help for the following reasons:
1. You will learn tried and true methods that have worked effectively for others.
2. You will get more referrals that lead to more assignments.
3. You will get paid more if your are thoroughly trained.
Sometimes when my clients are planning their conferences and retreats, they might ask me if I know someone who could facilitate a certain workshop. Up to now, I have been hesitant to offer a suggestion. After the training, I will not only refer you, but I will use you as a replacement if I have a scheduling conflict.
