What To Do When You Feel Like Giving Up
That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our inner strength in the Lord is growing every day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)

Almost everybody has felt like giving up at one time or another. Perhaps once you felt like giving up and now you are glad you didn't. If you had given up, you would not be where you are today. If you are at a point in your life when you think giving up is your only option, consider what you should do before you give up.

First, be honest with God about your feelings. It is the first step toward your victory. It is unfair to God to give up without giving God a chance to do something about your situation. Communicate with God about your feelings. You will discover a sense of hope and peace. Don't give up!

Secondly, know that real faith never gives up. Like David throughout the Psalms, admit that God is sometimes slow to answer. However, continue to have steadfast faith in God's unfailing love and don't give up!

Third, know that God's absolute sovereignty is a main reason never to give up. God can change people and situations that others have given up on. God can change what seems unchangeable. Don't give up!

Finally, giving up often causes us to miss the best God has in store. It is so easy to give up when we can't see what's going on behind the scenes. Rather than giving up when you have a problem, God is waiting to see how much endurance you have. Don't give up!

Whenever you feel like giving up, think about the aforementioned reasons not to. God will strengthen you moment by moment. Then you will wonder what it was that caused you to want to give up in the first place.
